By providing essential resources and networking opportunities, we assist our members throughout the application process. Furthermore, Los Abogados has established a formal endorsement process, offering a significant boost to individuals seeking judicial appointments in Arizona. We invite you to join our efforts—whether by guiding qualified applicants through the application process or by participating in our Endorsement sub-committee. A Living Tribute to Judicial Legacy

Los Abogados is proud to introduce a traveling judicial award created to honor judges whose service reflects a commitment to equity, representation, and justice in Arizona. This award is not a permanent fixture. It is a living symbol that will move from one set of judicial chambers to another, marking historic appointments and reminding us of the collective work that continues.

The award is a work of art. It is meant to inspire reflection, pride, and responsibility.

It honors individual achievement while recognizing the generations of advocacy that made these moments possible.

This tradition begins with Justice Maria Elena Cruz, the first Latina and the first person of African descent to serve on the Arizona Supreme Court. Reflecting on the honor, Justice Cruz shared, “I am especially excited about having the privilege of being the first to host the beautiful traveling award. Although it will not stay at the Arizona Supreme Court for long, that is for a good reason. I look forward to seeing it make its rounds from one judicial chamber to the next.”

The mission of Los Abogados is to develop, empower, and support the Latino community through the advancement of the legal profession.
